WWII Prisoner Of War Responds To Donald Trump In Powerful Hillary Clinton Video

A powerful web video released by Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign on Friday ― National Prisoners of War Remembrance Day ― features an emotional World War II veteran urging Americans to reject real estate mogul Donald Trump.

The 86-second video opens by showing U.S. Army veteran Joel Sollender, who was captured by the Nazis in 1944, watching footage of Trump attacking Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in July 2015.

“He’s a war hero because he got captured,” Trump said of the Vietnam War veteran. “I like people who weren’t captured, OK?”

Recalling his own harrowing experience, a tearful Sollender accuses Trump of “insulting all of our military” with his attacks against the Arizona senator. The businessman has still not apologized for the remark.

“He’s everything I would not want to be, or emulate,” Sollender says of Trump in the video.
