Final vote, as gaveled, on first article of impeachment, Abuse of Power:
230 YEA
197 NAY
1 PRESENT
ALL GOP NAY
229 Dems YAY
2 Dems NAY
1 Dem (Tulsi Gabbard) PRESENT
“Article One is Adopted,” said Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and soon after, “The ayes have it.”
Republicans booed. Dems attempted to cheer, Pelosi shut them down and cut the mic.
President Trump has been impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives on the first count of abuse of power.
He becomes the third president in American history to be impeached.
The obstruction of Congress vote comes next.
The House has voted in favor of Article 1 in the impeachment of Donald J. Trump, voting on party lines, after a long day of gaslighting by GOP reps and reviewing of evidence by Dems.
Tulski Gabbard, the candidate from Moscow, was missing all day from the impeachment hearings. She suddenly entered after the vote was called but before the speaker hit the gavel, to enter her vote as “present.” Christ, what an asshole.

Donald Trump has joined Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton as the only three presidents in American history to be impeached. He is the 20th person in total to be impeached by the House of Representatives over the past 230 years.

The one GOP “yes” vote for impeachment was apparently a mistake.
But Tulsi Gabbard has just voted PRESENT.

Wow, that look and the “cut it out” hand gesture from Speaker Pelosi instantly shut down a burst of applause from Democrats at the impeachment vote gavel. Controlling her caucus in real time.

Colin Peterson of Minnesota is voting to oppose impeachment. how much damage has trumps trade policy done to the sugar beet farmers in his district cause the house should consider stripping him of his ag committee chairmanship ( the speaker will never do this)
